Aging with dignity and grace is a belief in the goodness of what your experience. It is gentle affirmations to love your being, the amazing journey of your life, the countless experiences & memories and moments of enlightenment that are the essential fabric of your being.

Love yourself. Respect your age, your journey, your being, but most importantly, believe in the beauty that lies ahead for you.

Instead of getting held back in negativity, pessimism, and depression; acknowledge your medical conditions, make the appropriate health care assistance decision for your needs, and start moving forward. Don’t let your medical conditions own you, you own them.

Keep physically active, maintain a healthy body weight, follow a diet of whole foods that are high in fiber and low in saturated fat and drink plenty of fluids to help offset many of the effects of aging.

This will improve your balance and keep you mobile; reduce worry & depression, and contribute to better cognitive functioning. It is also an important part of managing constipation diabetes, heart disease, blood pressure, cancer of the breast and colon as well as osteoporosis. A healthy lifestyle includes weight-bearing exercises, such as walking while a healthy diet rich in vitamin D and calcium helps keep your bones strong both before and after menopause.

Maintaining pelvic-floor and core strength can help you prevent conditions such as the inability to control urine and other pelvic organ issues caused by childbirth, hysterectomies and menopause Schedule check-ups and stick to them, take all medication as directed by your doctor and do a periodic medication review to discuss whether all of your prescriptions are still necessary.
